The Truth in the Tinsel Day 11

WE have had a break for the last few days as we have been busy doing play performances Wednesday and Friday night as well as going to a Radio Station to record the play which they will air on the 20th I think. Pretty neat experience. :)

Day 5

Today we talked about Mary. No craft today as we had a lovely lunch with friends

 We have been going through these each day. I'm amazed at how well the Creative and Builder remember what each bead represents

Day 6

Today we chatted about Mary and Elizabeth.

The boys loved this part.  Creative and Builder were the most excited busily getting decorations out and finding a place for them. Playful came and went helping with some decorating and Smiley just wanted to eat them!

Truth in the Tinsel Day 4

Today was a quieter day as we went out in the afternoon.


Today our Angel Gabriel  was hiding here. Each day I have made it harder for them to find. I found our missing Michael Angel too :)

Our Clue was Gabriel. In our devotion we talked about Angels and what they do. As well as how Zechariah didn't believe the Angel's message to him and how Mary believe the message she received.

Our Angel Craft. I kept it simple as we had a busy afternoon. The glitter paints were a hit :)

Truth in the Tinsel Day 3

Our morning starts off with the usual things breakfast and Jobs. Once they are done its off to find the Angels.

Only One Angel Gabriel today. Smiley played with Angel Micheal and hid him well. :)

We eat a chocolate from the advent Calender while we read our devotion

Today we learned about Zechariah and how he was unable to talk after being visited by an Angel and not believing what he had said.

    We had some spontaneous dressing up. I found some Christmas dress ups from mainly music days.

 For lunch today we made Christmas Tree bread. Yummy too polished off quickly

After lunch we made a Wreath to put on the gate. The first one we made Builder suggested we put it on the back door. The process of making it didn't seem to interest them but they loved looking for Flowers to decorate the two wreaths.

The Christmas music we listened to. (Boys not impressed by it. Hopefully they will like Kenny Rogers we will play tomorrow :D

Builder has been excited about Christmas and the things we have been doing that he decided to make his own Advent calender. He was motivated and excited about it that he completed it on his own except for when I helped cut out the little folding windows.

Today we watched two because they were short ones :)
